Brazilian Bikini Bottoms
As is true with tops, there are several different types of Brazilian bikini bottoms, ranging from mild to wild, in terms of what they cover. There are bottoms that cover enough to leave a half-moon shape of exposed skin on either side of the back, then there are variants that cover even less, all the way up to a tiny thong that barely covers the genitals.
Of course, you have to decide for yourself what level of “flaunt” you’re comfortable with. The pictures of bikini models that you see in stores and online are designed to make you envision yourself in that same bikini looking just as good as the model in the photo. But when you get home with that new swimsuit, the reality is often much different. There are certain guidelines you can use that will help you make a smarter decision when deciding which bikini is for you.
First, take a look at your wardrobe and make a mental note of what you see. What kind of styles dominate? Stripes? Patterns? What kind of colors do you tend to wear? It’s best to stick to these when thinking about a bikini. If you know you don’t look good in a red sweater, you probably won’t look good in a red bikini either.
After you’ve made your decision, it’s time to think about protection from the sun. If you’re going with a bikini that’s skimpier than anything you’ve worn on the beach before, you’ll want to take plenty of sunscreen with you. Sunburns can be quite painful, and skin cancer is always a risk. Take the highest SPF (sun protection factor) sunscreen you can find, apply it often and liberally, especially after swimming or rigorous physical activities like beach volleyball where you’re sweating a lot.
